Norbury Cottage has the accommodation you would expect for a pleasant and enjoyable stay by the sea and Snowdonia mountains.
Norbury Cottage has gas central-heating, double-glazing throughout, and insulated. Gas and electric costs are included.
The kitchen has a built-in electric oven and built-in induction hob (both fitted in 2023), washing machine, microwave oven, fridge freezer (197/71 litre capacity), kettle, toaster, and FM radio. The kitchen is equipped with the cutlery and crockery you’d expect.
The back-door leads into the large secure back-garden. For your safety, the kitchen is also equipped with heat detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire blanket.
The lounge/diner (refurbished in 2024) is positioned at the front of property, with views of the nearby mountains. The lounge has comfortable sofa, matching armchair, and leather armchair. An electric flame-effect fan heater is an extra source of heating.
The hard-floored dining area consists of pine dining table and 4 seats. A high-chair is available for a toddler.
There is a 32″ ‘Smart’ flat-screen TV and DVD player. The bookcase offers books, games and DVDs.
The large master-bedroom is located on the ground floor, located to the rear of the property. The double bed comes with bed-side drawers and lamps, a chest of drawers and large wardrobe. A 24″ flat-screen TV/DVD combi is provided. There are two vertical wall mirrors. A hair-dryer is kept in the bed-side drawer. The room affords a view of the landscaped back garden.
A travel cot is available for baby or toddler.
Refurbished, decorated and recarpeted in 2022, the upstairs bedroom has two single beds with bed-side drawers and lamp. There is a chest of drawers and wardrobe. There is also a large wicker cane chair and a vertical wall mirror. The room affords views of the rear garden and the sea (Conwy Bay, half a mile away).
The bathroom is on the ground floor: full-size bath, hot/cold mixer shower (installed 2018) with concertina shower screen (installed 2022). The CH radiator is supplemented by an electric fan heater. There is a shaver socket and wall mirror.
Bed linen and towels are provided. However, linen for the cot is not offered. Please bring your own beach towels for trips to the beach.
An iron, ironing board, and clothes airer are available, stored in the upstairs airing-cupboard.
The front garden is mainly laid to gravel (for off-road parking and turning) and slate, with log-edged raised borders with well established shrubs. The concrete drive is lit by a street-lamp directly opposite to the entrance.
The back garden is laid to lawn with mature shrubs and fruit trees. A path leads to the summer house (containing table and chairs) – the doors are fitted with toughened safety glass. A rotary washing line is provided positioned alongside the path. There is a garden bench and small patio.
Switch-operated outside lighting is provided adjacent to the front door and another above the back door (motion sensor).
For your safety, mains-connected smoke detectors are located in the hall and landing. A child safety-gate is available on request, and is installed at the bottom of the stairs.
